ATCA-SF: Current Shipping Times

Lincolnlog

Mongoose
Folks,

I broke down and bought a fleet and two squadron boxes, all in stock per the web site. This is after completely writing off the minis and deciding to just use the rules. I have not had the best luck with this game in getting product shipped. My original rule book had to be reshipped I never got the original. I ended up paying for two because getting by rule book from an alternate source was faster than waiting for 4 months previously pre-order rulebook. As everyone one else eas receiving preordered fleet boxes, I received nothing. So, finally in disgust cancelled all the miniature orders an play to this day with 2400's.

I recently ran 3 games a local gaming convention, and decided, hey, what the heck I'll give it another try. Once again empty porch syndrome, no shipping e-mail from Mongoose blues.

I'm curious what wait the times are on minis right now. How long is it taking to get stuff that is in stock?

Bob

It might be a bit late for your older orders, but have you considered ordering from ADB's online store? They might be a handy alternative for those ordering in North America, though probably not so much for orders to Europe (in terms of shipping costs, at least).

While they themsleves have to wait for shipments from Mongoose before they put items on the storefront, the Starline 2500s they do post up are ones they will actually have to send out (since the don't do pre-orders for the Mongoose minis).

At the risk of getting accused of wanting ACTA:SF to fail again, I can only say my two fleet boxes (in stock) are going on 9 weeks with no email and no items on the porch.

I really do like this game. I have spent a ton of time making control sheets and the fleet design program I posted to this forum, so YES, I WANT MONGOOSE TO SUCCEED in this. I am just rather tired of sending weekly emails with no results.

I will probably try ADB next time too.

Given how shipping times have been a continuing problem, if you value your sanity, I'd advise cancelling what you can with Mongoose and buy the minis from ADB. At least if ADB has it on their website, they can ship it to you in a timely manner. No waiting for a month, 2 months, or whatever. Plus ADB does give them an additional quality check.

I'm actually fully current with Mongoose including orders within the last two weeks.

That said, if it is on ADB's website it is in stock, has been quality checked and will be in your hands within a week (US, don't know ROW).

Also, if Warstore is listing it as in stock, you will get it equally fast and usually at a good discount and relatively cheap shipping (again US, no ROW knowledge).

I got my Romulan fleet box within 3 weeks (shipped to Canada) of the notice of shipment. Hopefully that's a trend that will continue in the future.

Turnarounds should be pretty fast now - if anyone has been waiting more than a week for anything, please contact me directly at msprange@mongoosepublishing.com and we will sort you out.

I've been waiting more than a week for my Gorn Fleet, does that count :P

Well, no :)

However, you won't have long to wait now. Expect some previews of the new Gorn ships pretty soon.

Hopefully not just grey dots in the distance   .

Will be good to see the 'new' designs in the flesh so to speak.

(Matt, with the fleet pre-orders, can we play with the box makeup :? (swap out a ship for one of a similiar price) - know this has been allowed before, but thought i'd ask. If yes, i might want to talk to you about Attack and pre-orders :) )

Okay then, e-mailed Matthew a week ago and was told they had run out of Flight stands, understandable since you don't want miniatures without the stands.... Was told they would ship Monday or Tuesday this week.

E-mailed Matthew again yesterday, Wednesday (in all fairness after he had left for the day). So have not yet received a reply on that e-mail. Right after I e-mailed Matthew, I ordered two Squadron boxes from ADB that ADB didn't have until Monday, and they are already on the way from Texas. :P

Maybe ADB gets their stock from outside suppliers. I wish I live in the UK, because frankly there appears to be few issues with merchandise from the ADB UK location. HMMMMM, what is ther common problem or log jam here. You don't have to be a rocket scientist (no pun intended).

Kelly George e-mail Robert at the Ohio facility 3months ago to provide me a DN warp nacelle that I had not received. Not only was it not sent, Robert never even bothered to respond. Came to find out was also missing a sensor dish in that Fleet box. :?

It would be great to order everything through ADB, since have never had an issue with an order through them. But they don't seem to have much stock. Seriously, your helping both companies regardless where you get the minis. I surely want to see both companies suceed.

So I have a DN with 2 missing parts any one need some spare DN parts?
