AT 43 rules mechanics seem familiar?

Just downloaded the rules to AT 43, hit allocation is interesting 'allocate one hit to each model in the fire zone starting with the closest, when all have been allocated one hit the rest are allocated to the original unit'.

Sure I've read that somewhere before.......

Bloody rackham. All though I do play Conf, after trying out AT-43 it seems a much more basic system. I did enjoy the 5 minute game I had.

Yeah, I'll have to see if it's in my copy of Rogue Trader...

It's an obvious way to handle squad-based casualties, and I'd be astounded if SST was the first game to use it.

It's also worth pointing out that Andy Chambers mentions using mechanics from other systems in the back of the SST main rule book :D

Love the minis, hate the rules (at least the basic ones- and that's not a good start).
I cancelled my order on the starter box once I downloaded the rules and went through it.

Where can you download the rules?
Could anyone give a link, please? :)

Would be interesting if these are the same as on the Spielemesse 2006 in Essen (where I played a Demo).

i still have no clue what the price on this is going to be !!!

Well, it's listed in Game Trade as US$80 if memory serves. That's a magazine from a US distributor, so prices will vary elsewhere.

Not commenting on the rule, I'm commenting on the near identical wording.

And that's nothing like the original rogue trader anyway, hit allocation was strictly by the unit, i.e. if a unit takes six wounding hits, it loses six models, owning player gets to pick, no rules on where they were taken from as long as they were viable targets.
