Artwork, Page Count, Ship Construction, Point Buy CharGen...

This is being said only half jokingly.

I figured out why there are several places in the book where there is just a box with an x. This is where the advertisements are going.

Want point buy chargen, buy the Traveller Companion.
Want ship construction, buy High Guard.

If page count is such an issue, I vote to drop some art and give us content.

In some cases, that artwork (or at least the space it takes up) is necessary to get the pages to lay out correctly.

If we ran a poll, most people would say 'give us less art and more text/content.'

The trouble is, you chaps don't follow through with that at the gaming store :)

We'll always look to balance the shiny with solid content, but we remain resolved to elevate the level of presentation in this edition of Traveller. The art for this book has really only just begun and, as they say, you ain't see nothing yet :)

This is so very true. One need only watch people as they look over the "new arrivals" shelf as a game store. Other than one or two hard core fans, most pick up the colorful items first. I have seen it over and over. You are right that one of the ways to at least get them to look is the color and art.
