arms&equipment

Just picked this up, and Im quite positively taken by this book. Lots of fun stuff, a good treatment of various interesting weapons and lots of fun little options for tweaking things and making them unique, without being overpowering.

All good stuff so far, and I know a few of my friends will really dig this stuff.

What did people think of it ?

I liked it.

Some people won't, especially if they are put off by equipment lists, but I liike equipment lists.

The rules for adapting equipment seem reasonable and easy to use. The equipment itself is pretty good, especially if you want to use RQ2/3 style weapons and armour.

In fact, I think it's the best core rulebook they have done for RQ.

Thank you all very much...it is a great way to start your work day to see your work appreciated.

Seriously folks, thanks.

So far I have to say I enjoyed it very much.

As an owner of all the Mongoose published Runequest works to date, some in multiple copies, I think this is the second highest cost to value ratio book out so far, with the core book of course being numbe one.

I know my group is getting great milage out of my two copies. I expect that the upcoming Player's Guide to Glorantha will drop it to 3rd place though...

I am looking forward to the PGtG with abated breath, as it means the start of a long and (hopefully) illustrious campaign with my group of nine players. Having my players understand the world well, with as little GM work as possible, is a good thing. heh.

.

I just wanted to thank all of you who posted on this. I liked the preview but I was on the fence about Arms & Equipment since you can play the game without it and I've been burned on similar supplements in other game systems.

Based on the glowing reviews however, I'm going to order it.

On the plus side by the time it eventually comes out, inflation will probably make the current cover price quite good value. :D
