Arms & Equipment: Compasses in Glorantha

Just bought the Arms & Equipment PDF.

A quick note on compasses in Glorantha - there isn't a magnetic North in Glorantha. There are various mildly magical methods of determining directions, though. Some fairly common compasses point towards Magasta's Pool, and others point towards other significant places such as the place where the item was enchanted, a holy place such as Kerofin, the Gates of Dawn in the East, the Cathedral of the Book in Jrustela, etc.

slightly related and I do not want to sound like a RPG realist. But in KoDP it references when you do a pilgrimage to Kero Fin it seemed like it said you could see all of Glorantha. Now I know Glorantha is flat but can you see extremely far off in the distance from such rare vantage points? anything official in this regard?

It's probably a sales pitch! :D

when you are at a magical place, the "normal" rules of geometry do not apply. The world is thousands of kilometer across, but the Sky Dome is only 50km in diameter, yet it encompasses the whole of Glorantha.

Or rather in Glorantha the distinction between optical illusions and physical reality are 'blurred'.
