Armor DR vs. Fire

No. At least in regular D&D, DR helps only against regular damage while energy damage like fire or cold requires resistance against the said element.

Never saw an official rule, but I also house-rule it as a "no."

Under certain circumstances (fur armor on a Nordheimr, multi-round fire damage causing metal to heat), it may actually be disadvantageous to have armor on during a fire.

It hasn't come up yet, but only because I warn my players about the dangers and they always pull their characters out of raging fires.
