Armor combination clarification

Currently there are some cases which allow for combining armour. And again, it creates a few cases which an inexperienced referee might underestimate.

The highest TL cloth armor allows to be combined under another set of armor.
Many energy armors can be put above the other armor, the psy armor can be put under other armor.

Can an under and an outer armor be combined with a normal armor, resulting in 3 armor sets?
Are those applicable with the battle dress or powered armours?

Perhaps I am asking too many minor questions, but I suspect an unsuspecting slip can lead to a cookie-cutter-must-have armor combination.

Nope you've got it right :) We've run a lot of tests and the numbers play out well. From a realism point of view, it's an underlayer of cloth - combined with whatever regular armour, plus possible external plates. A demolition squad technician technically wears the same thing today - the only difference is that hopefully 4 TLs from now, the cloth armour is a bit stronger :)

This armour combo still wont stand up to the best guns available at equal TLs.

So, can we combine the ceramic battle dress and the anti plasma energy armor (the conduit based) for a total of 33+13 = 46 vs plasma? Actually this could withstand a 1DD energy hit without killing the operator in 1 shot.

Yup. The only way someone can hope to withstand that. This is TL14 of course.

Funny enough though, most battledresses at TL14 would opt for FGMPs (2DD) or an Anti-Material Rifle with APDS ammo. Both of which would actually melt through the armour and the person inside like butter :(
