OH MY. that is a beautiful ship.
I want one

Keep up the cool work looking forward to more.

There's a deckplan too?

The published one or your own take?

cant wait to see.

WOW, FANTASTIC , BRAVO , ENCORE .

I am in awe of your talent.

i cant wait to see more views and the deckplans you promised.

One half done deck plan... subject to some changes. Based on the original with some tweakage...and some assistance.

The two hatches in the aft bay are for the undercarriage access. Need to fit the instakes, but that might not matter.

Oh and a nice shot...

Well i wish to start by saying " congrats" on your published material from "Jon Brazer Enterprise's"

I like the looks of it and will be purchasing this for my collection.

I would like to request a top down view of the "Grendel",
and to really push it , maybe a front, back, side view as well.

As far as the deckplans go, i have a few questions about that.

Thats all for now , waiting for more goodness from your talented fingers.

Great job

Great job

Thank you, I appreciate that alot.

Top Side Front easy... Just need some tweakage and fix the plans...

I must admit personally I like it better when the render has the outline edges showing, as 'SketchUp' seems slightly clearer.

Is the "gap" in the rim-strip (along the rim edge just behind the cockpit & forward of the turret) intentional?

Back in the day -- when I was doing ship drawings on graph paper -- I drew on Peter Elson a lot for the 'Imperial Looking' ships of the Spinward Marches.

Glad to see I'm not alone in being inspired by those wonderful works... :D

A couple of sliding doors are missing (first cabin back from the bridge and the next cabin's fresher)... and you might consider making the iris-valve symbol not so "wide" (i.e. it occupies a lot of space—not its' line-thickness).

A hearty pat on back is deserved!!

Agreed it does look better. To be honest its less trouble, might try a render then plonk it on a good back drop.. Mindy you it exports nicely to Bryce... Ocean refuel shots anyone?

The gapis intentional, its something on the drawing of the armed trader in the image its based on.

The Armed Free Trader was a supplement from Comstar Games,
u may still be able to get a copy from rpg.com.

The deckplans shown were taken from the book, which has obvious flaws.
We will let him tweak this design, then descend on him with the list of improvements

Nice, but the bridge windows don't match the plans. Not sure if the turrets & hatches line up too.

They never do! Shoot the artist.... something that might be worth changing... remember that these deckplans are not 100% acurate (ala the MGT ones) but making it fit will look better.

Thanks!

Thanks, and that a fine suggestion, they've been buggin' me those iris valves. Sometimes in drawing the grid in, sliding doors vanish....

Just need some fine logo for the side... anyone got an eps of the imperial sunburst or Tukera or something..?

Peter Elson a fine artist, fellow countryman and alas no longer with us. You may like to know his sister has set up a site in his memory, its VERY good.

1978 I first saw his work.
