Are you a paint brush licker / sucker??

Me too, how do you think I found out that gw foundation paints taste so bad. It must be because they are more concentrated or something.

i was never taught either.

i just did it to dry my brush oncw when i had no tissue, then found it kept the point better than when i used the tissue.

Never thought of doing it, actually. I guess the smell of Tamiya paints give some warning it may taste bad. And, no. I don't plan to find out.

licking or sucking brushes back into shape was often a cause of ill health and even death amongst artists in "the past" when paints had poisonous chemicals in them, such as cadmium, arsenic, lead etc

I got into the bad habit of licking the brushes. When i realized I had gotten into the habbit I spent some time trying to break myself of the habit. I have failed to date.

Oh well. 8)

I lick - but only when using waterbased acrylics fortunately I've never made the mistake of licking old school model paint

Oddly I don't mind the taste of GW paints, the cheap craft paints are a little yucky

but I really dislike the taste of the reaper paints - go figure - but I like the paints

didn't mean to shift the topic to paint tasting - just an observation
