Sorry. I meant no offense, really. I just picture people wanting to colonize other planets as soon as they're capable. This background is different than the other ones I've seen so I'm looking forward to playing it. 8)

Question: Are we going to need any supplements? Right now, I only have the core rule book.

Well, it is only my character's home-world, career and aims, though.

I got Traveller Mongoose Publishing and Mercenary (got them from DriveThruRPG.com) Mercenary is where I found Wet-Navy career with Surface Fleet Specialist. As it is, the homeworld are very inward, improving their foundation as much as possible. Of course, since they are poor, it seems the Imperium and the rest of the universe will step over it.

The only thing needed would be the corebook, if there is something that might be handy or interesting, I have all the books and would be willing to help with any info.

We are using the point buy method for character creation...

80 For Skills/Rank/Benefits

I will roll for mustering out benefits and at the end I will also roll for events, those you guys won't have to worry about.

That should give you a tease to work with...

The tech for personal weapons...they are based on Honor Harringtons Pulser's. I will post the info...there are no laser weapons...yet.

Well, now I feel silly. I thought the background you provided was the campaign background, not your character background.

Okay then. I'll generate a character based on the point system and wait for instructions on what to do next and where to post him.

One more thing . . . is any career acceptable? What kind of campaign is this anyway?
