Another sidebar: Why I do not hate d20 Conan

I would never say this. I'd rather say: ok bring your wife (or may be I'll come in your house), I'll "try" her, bring some beer for you and then go to another. Sometimes I could go even farther as to try special things you hadn't imagine.

All the time saying please to meet you (before) and I was a pleasure to have some time with you (after).

And if one of your wives doesn't appeal to me, I would never say she's hugly, but rather I'm too tired or whatsoever.

To conclude in this diplomatical tour, I'd say your wife is certainly very interesting, has undeniably some advantages and we propably definitely want to reach the most perfect orgasm through lecherous pleasures and though we both love the same usual positions as well as those explained in the kama-sutra, we somehow don't fit together.

I think I explained that in the first sentence of my first post in this thread. Been here, done this for many, many sequels. Because there's 10 or so peeps like you demanding MRQ Conan on a monthly basis, it just gets old. I've tried to avoid these threads in the past with varying degrees of success but it just rubs me wrong. I don't like everything Mongoose does (obviously, I think RuneQuest is a waste of paper lame duck ) but the Mongoose Conan line is pure win. It's selling well, is awesomely supported by a bunch of writers I have a lot of respect for, and most importantly is fun to play month after month. Strom's point stands. I can't speak for everyone but I know I don't go to the RuneQuest forum and start crap there, spewing my dislike for the antiquated, archaic system in its own forum. I'd imagine you guys would want to do something constructive. Like go on that board and start working up a conversion. But no, instead, we have exactly what's occurred here. Month, after month, after month.

Anyhow, this, as usual, is point-less. You're not going to change my mind about RuneQuest any more than I can change yours about OGL. We already know who the respective system supporters are. The lines have been clearly drawn before in the past. It's too bad you can't get over your dislike so we could actually discuss something Conan related, perhaps a topic from one of the 40 OGL Conan products? Oh well. Sigh.

I care when the same crop of posters continually keeps posting their demands for MRQ Conan on this board while slagging the current, successful system (yeah, there's a reason there's hostility between posters, because we've been dueling in the system wars for years by this point). Believe me, I'd rather discuss Conan's world than go through this again. But here we are. :?

Ive talked about other stuff. What I think of this or that. And if you want to hear something that seems to regularly come around like clockwork, try 'Ducks are indefensible crap!', or 'Ducks blow chunks!', or all that other sh@# that seems to be the main focus of attack for D20-ites.

And, once again, if you like, you can go to the Runequest board to talk about a D20 version of Glorantha if you like. Ive started the topic for you, you can just join in. No one will get all offended.

For all I know, despite these last couple of posts, you may be decent human beings that just have tastes that differ from mine. Oh well, it's a big world. But as I've already stated, I don't take my opinions of RuneQuest to a RuneQuest board. I can't fathom why you'd want me to either.

You know what the funniest thing about all this is? My response to RuneQuest and Glorantha is a reaction to the constant slagging of OGL Conan. If it weren't for you guys dredging all this up my attitude to RQ and it's setting would be full of 'meh' at worst. But these days, by Crom, I would love to see every single copy of the RQ game books roasted in the heat of a thousand suns. :lol:

If youre only interested in discussing how great the OGL and the Hybor.ian Age are, theres not a lot to talk about. Ive actually found you to be, sometimes, reasonable. Dont get dragged into defending the OGL from allcomers, its only a game system.

Well, first off, I was responding to a post you made that quoted a post I made. I imagine that'd be why I thought you were talking at me. Besides, who else has mentioned ducks in this thread at all? Only person besides you and me that have mentioned them in this thread is Herve, and he was referring to my past, tongue in cheek comments about 'em. Since Herve is on your side of the system line I don't see how you could be referring to anybody else, unless you're referring to your "clockwork" attack on ducks as not even existing in this thread and were just saying it to say it. At which point, you have me thoroughly confused.

There's years worth of analysis and threads there about the Hyborian Age, REH's writings, etc. Hell, this forum contains years worth of great fan discussion about both those same two things along with gaming in Conan's world. That's why I come to this board. To geek out about the Conan game and other Conan related media. If that's not what you come for, then why do you read/post here???
