How about some more European properties, similar to Slaine? These are all from the pages of Heavy Metal:
Keepers of the Maser by Frezzato is freakin' amazing. The story is touching and epic and the art... should be in a museum.
Gypsy by Smolderen and Marini is so kewl it actually will give you brain freeze.
Requiem by Mills and Ledroit is as twisted and disturbed a fantasy world as has ever been created. AND IT ROCKS!

Wow... Am I really the only person who knows those properties...?
Well, for those of you who like great comics, look them up on Amazon. They are all great!

or they could pick up one of the many awesome european rpg systems that have never been translated into english, im sure the licence's would be easy enough to purchase for some of them and tbh i'd perfer to play a totally new system than any of the stuff mentioned thus far in this thread (yeh there pretty damn good comics but i dont think they have the draw that slaine does)

There are two very good Finnish RPGs (currently only in Finnish):

- Praedor, a bit conanesque fantasy RPG based on Finnish comic

- Stalker, based on the book, film and the RPG author's own vision
