Most of them made little sense... Marc probably owns all rights to them. Some were decent, some were atrocious. Almost all of them can be used without change in MGT, aside from converting task throws. Stats are on the same scale, as are damages. Skills are not, but simply add any racial skills as level 0.
Further, they didn't have CGen except as modifiers for the base book; it's pretty similar a list of careers.

Ironically, he apparently wrote those races for his own Traveller game, converted them to SpaceMaster while helping to develop that setting, then converted them back for G:T.
Not a fan of most of them, due either to their feeling "not right" for my understanding of Traveller's 3I setting, or for the attempts to map a couple of them over existing 3I races (such as his version of the Addaxur, the "first clients" of the Zhodani).
That said, I'm not going to suggest that someone else NOT use them, because even within the OTU, *everyone* is playing a different game.

Lithkind are a bit out there. And it takes a lot for me to say so.
There should of course be a multi volume set about Hivers, preferably leather-bound, with silver page edges.
I suppose it could be written in English, as opposed to Gurvin...

Some are in one of the T4 books; others in T20 and GURPS Traveller (GT) books (the Virushi, specifically), and some are mentioned in the CT Alien Modules but expanded elsewhere (Ithklur in AM 7, expanded in GT and TNE).
They are, in fact, spread far and wide, and some are decent and some not so.

TNE has only three with full CGen, and one isn't canon... Hivers and Ithklur are canon; the Vegan treatment in Traveller Chronicle isn't canon, tho' the vegans are canon, and it's a shame the treament isn't canon. Zhodani, Aslan, Vargr, and IIRC Darrians have minimal CGen notes in RegSB. Several races have minimal references made, ISTR the Geonee.
T4 has Aliens Archive... which includes a few of the above mentioned (Newts, Virush, ISTR Ael Yael, Geonee), some decent ones, and a number of bad ones. If I can get to it this week, I'll list the rest.
T20 adds the Ursa. But they are not properly Canon, either.
GT adds a whole bunch, but GT, not being "GDW/IG/Mongoose", they are also not properly canon. Several of the GT races are prior inclusions in ICE's Spacemaster Companion (Which included the Altha, Whirr-kol, and a couple others...) according to a number of people; I'm not a GT fan, and can't say for certain. A number of them are adaptations of OTU races mentioned above.

Isn't the Collected Traveller considered canon? I was happy when they came out to spare the wear and tear on my old books and I could stop chasing little black books everywhere.
I'm thinking the T20 Traveller would be the best bet after the Collected Traveller as it uses D20 Modern. With D20 Future you can add the Alternity and Star Frontiers aliens! Too bad about Alternity, maybe if the artist wasn't such a piercing fetishist it would have done better. I don't care how tough or alien a creature is, you don't pierce a patagea and definitely not a bicep? Those pictures would have been cool if somewhat harsh without the unnessessary hardware.

Is there any official word as to which Aliens Mongoose plans on putting out a Alien resource book on? I would love to see a list of Aliens and a resource book on EACH!

PS: If someone wants another "new" race in their game then just create it and "add" it to your own campaign. BTW I also love the "Kaufers" (spelling) as a really cool race from Traveller 2300

I did some work on the Llellewyloly (aka "Dandies") of Junidy many years ago. The cultural notes were on my site (now offline due to AOL shutting down their webspaces, but probably in some archive somewhere). I should probably update it all to MGT and see if Mongoose wants to print it...
