Afew question on crusade time line

A useful way of control the crusade time line I found/ test before we move on was remove the major character from the Excalibur and put the PC in their place, use the major characters as fill-in were their was a PC to cover that area.

never thought of that

To note, in the Centauri trilogy series of books, I believe it was in book two. The year is 2270 and the cure had not been found yet at that point in the novel. They are talking about the plague and they mention the Excalibur and that Gideon is reassuring everyone that they will find it soon.

The books never mention when the cure is found though as they later skip away several years and they simply state how Excalibur found the cure to the plague, but no details.

So the plague might have been around for almost 3 years

An interesting concept though I think one problem exists in that the Drakh would go a lot more active in hunting the Mages; the Drakh know all their secrets and could shut down their implants if they want to destroy the Order. Not without facing horrendous casualities....

Galen was actively aiding the search for the cure, and came in conflict with the Drakh on more than one occasion in the books (and I have to assume would have in the series as well, had it continued). I think it's safe to infer that if he could have turned off the plague, he probably would have.

Bear in mind that it's actual Shadowtech, not a watered down Drakh technology interpretation of Shadowtech. Since the Shadows made the mages' tech, I don't see why the Shadows couldn't put safeguards in to keep that tech from fixing the plague.

i was thinking of the cure being found through the use of drakh's other techno virus, set virus vs virus.. or is that to far fetched.?

It's pretty wide open if you ask me, so that'd work fine. I've always figured it would take some First One tech to combat the Shadow's virus, but I'm sure there are other options. Anything from captured Drakh tech to Thirdspace relics could do the trick.

oooh...wouldn't THAT be some entertaining irony. Excalibur crew lands on a planet only to find a beatific Jinxo holding a small cup, with a "What took you so long to get here, I need a ride" attitude.

one of the Round Table in full plate armour shield and a battered sword transported by a Vorlon who left him to fight in the Shadow War

There is a sword you known,

From "A Late Delivery From Avalon”, Delenn end up with the sword at the end and what if it was the real Excalibur or maybe a key to Vorlon space.

You just never known

And by the way that staff Delenn was walking with in The Deconstruction of Falling Stars, it look like the Grail seekers staff

I always got the sense that the sword was just a symbol. Like he'd picked it up in a gift shop somewhere because it fit with what he was trying to do in his head. It was simply a metaphor for his pain and burden, and wasn't special on its own.

However, its entirely possible I'm wrong on that...

In the real world it over 300 years old today as per a write up I have read.

as for the staff, wardrobe may have just reused the staff, but this B5 you have to look at the details
