advise on narn vs EA 3rd age fleet selection

I actually agree about the Dag'Kar; I don't like it at all. I don't really even like E-mines all that much. Just get 2-4 tubes of Ionics to kill CAF and such, and you're fine. You can do some of that with a Bin'Tak.

The next one will, if I had to bet, lose a few dice, but I think the hints suggested all sorts of nasty for your general Emine, including SAP, Triple Damage (owwww!!!). That's only based on weak recollection, but my Drakh Raiders really really hate that thought!

Single Dag'Kars are just not a good bet...against third age I have seen the large stack of them do quite well (think it was 4 in that fight). Those 3rd ageers have a lot of hull 4 at the bottom end so its not as weak as it sounds. And if the 3rd ager has the giant stack of hermes 'no boresights for you!' ships, the just stacks of multi-ship hitting dice can be a big deal.

NOBODY expects the narn bat squad, that is one of their weapons, of which they have three.....

the spanish inquistion never used to knock on the door, they just jumped out at people. Just goes to show that the Narns are much more polite than the Spanish Inquistioners.

Dag'Kars die alone but what makes Narn next to unbeatable is combined arms in a 3 War you will have:

1 G'Quan, Dag'Kar, 2 Kat'Tan
1 G'Quan, Dag'Kar, 2 Kat'Tan
5 Kat'Tan, 2 Sho'kos

With that many init sinks its damn near hard not to get denied a Boresight. The Narn player where we play for 5 raid does 1 G'Quan and 6 Kat'Tans and it is next to unbeatable for anyone even for Late Era Earth and 3rd Age. Without the flexibility, Earth Alliance suffers alot although they have a wide spectrum to use. You could do early EA but you got Saggs and the rest are flying bricks, 3rd Age is the most balanced of the three and lastly you got the top heavy late era.
