Adv. Rulebook

Mongoose
I havn't seen a post or anything here about this but if there is, so what.

anyway back to the post. After receiving my copy of the adv rules today, I can say quite confidently that it is one of the best laid out rule books I have ever seen, the content is top notch and some of the adv rules are bloody bril, roadside bombs and extreme range being some of my favourite.

Tbh I origionally didn't want to play BF that much, and had got the book to get some better artillery rules and such for SST, however after reading the book I can comfortably say I want my own brit force, alltho the mongoose models are to expensive for me so if anyone has alternatives please let me know, I can't find a warrior in the right scale and inf, well where do you find cheap inf models?

Glad to see you like it. I'm still waiting for the street date to get my copy. While the minis aren't cheap, they are right on par with most of the other miniature games, and you don't need to paint them (so you save lots of time and effort). For some this is a selling point, others like to "customize" thier troops. Good luck with the EFTF...

How does someone like this get a copy of the rulebook already and has no plans to even support the game...

Location, location, location I guess?

Probably at the ACTA tourney today.

i picked up a copy at tourney today and its not a bad book, as an exprinter there wehre a few thing such as the binding and aplication of the harback cover, but its earlie days i guese and they have advertised for some one to do the job, shame wage is entry level as other wise i may have considered applying.

out of interest is it just my book doese anybody eleses have this weird thing.

Page 7 the picture of the usmc card the photo of the figures has the colours gone weird with bars and a print shift ? doent seem a print issue but more a master file issue but i could be wrong.

als would be nice to have a page of the sybols for diferent terrain types for campain map so we coul cut them out and stick them to our campain map, maybe a PDF is in order here.

but very very very minor problems to be honest. nice book and bodes well for SST.

realy weird seeing terrain in a rule book that my own forces have played on as well !!!

evil my page 7 is fine, my back page isnt connected to the spine, and the cover is rough in places,

and dorb, its coz i'm a god!!

The roughness is just some extraneous adhesive I think, gentle application of the fingernail should remove it, at least on my books.

There are plenty of producers of tanks, as I am sure you are aware, I have yet to find anywhere doing pre-painted warriors, but have seen some 1:72 and 1:64 model kits, as for troops I think its Forces of Valour do some in 1:72 but they are a little short and actualy more expensive but do look very nice.
