Adrift ship all power to engines?

Hello.
This came up in our game sunday.
I crushed a narn fleet with my Centauri. A var,nik got an 1/6 engine destroyed critical hit and was adrift. Could this ship do an all power to engines?
I assumed no as its engine was not working.

well, it's a common sense approach to say, "what bloody engines!"

You assumed correct. Movement of adrift ships is done in the end phase. You can't peform special actions in the end phase.
though, you could stil lactivate the ship in the movement phase (for example to launch fighters, or perform anothe special action like Concentrate all Firepower)

By this interpretation, does this mean Freighters in scenarios like Convoy Duty can't use any movement based Special Actions, as they're specified to only move in the end phase?
