Once you have got this beast together how are you going to base it ? if it is so heavy. I would be interested to know for any future projects of my own.

i have it on two stands, one large flying base just under the bridge area as a point to measure from and a small flying base nearer the front. both bases have metal poles to take the weight and whilst it will balance on the rear base alone if you get the centre of grav right as mine does i like the smaller base their to make sure it doesnt topple and fall to bits or anything.

I use brass rod to mount all my ACTA ships. For a big model like this, use a bigger base if you think you need to, the GW large flying base is a 1/2" wider, I'm using one of those for my Poseidon.
