An additional itme. I just saw an interesting discussion from the VASSAL folks about transferring items from one module to antoher. Would make the little problem here a lot easier to deal with. Katadder, you may want to join the discussion to let them know that it is something are really looking for.

How do you compile it to a *.mod file? I love the tabletop version and would like to get this to work to play some friends cross-country. However I am new to Vassell.
 
I guess you downloaded the lastest version, which is *.zip format (which can be played without unzipping), open it with VASSL editor and save it as *.mod file???

BTW, I was thinking of making a Cyberboard ACTA gamebox for PBeM games but can't stop playing around with VASSL version :D
I'm using it to test a new set of solo rules

Hi, you just download the file, you don't have to do anything else to the zip file.

Hmm, one of the earlier contributors must have posted that on Vassal. I'm not comfortable with updating it to the new version and posting it on Vassal due to possible copyright issues.
 
alot of people will come here as well if the play ACTA on vassal so keeping the most updated version here works. (have had upto 100 downloads of some versions so theres plenty out there who have it).
 
nearly got 7.7 ready to go. just gotta do counters for technomage (easy enuf, black triangle), shakara and nolo'tar. the stats are all ready in so just when i get time for these.
was also hoping for revised troligan (seeing as it didnt even make it into mongoose ACTA tourney as official) before releasing it.
 
Thank you for the work, Katadder. I'm getting used to the VASSL engine now, and look forward to some ... multicultural ... exchanges of fire.

Perhaps someone should see if we can make actual Dilgar-looking counters from Rbax's excellent templates in the VASSL world, so it doesn't all look like Centauri.

And perhaps I can decrypt how to extend it all for Drakh...
 
i believe we do have the dilgar in our version. IIRC anyway. we should have. if not i will see what i can do cos i have Rbaxs counters.

just double checked and we do have his counters in the game, both dilgar and drakh, plus some drakh counters we have had to make up.
 
You do but ... I guess I must have the wrong version of the download. DOH! Will try to download the mod again before I start building some extension when I don't know what the heck I'm doing.

Thanks for stopping a semi-developer (test automation) before he does something dangerous and stupid to tested and deployed code.
