[ACTA:SF] Your fleet

Totenkopf

Mongoose
Since the first official ACTA:SF tournament calls for 1,000 point fleets, I wanted to put my 1,000 point list.

Faction: Klingon Empire

C7 Heavy Battlecruiser "Wrath" 210 pts
D7C Command Cruiser "Gabriel" 205 pts
FD7 Fast Cruiser "Merkava" 195 pts
D5 War Cruiser "David" 165 pts
D6 Heavy Cruiser "Zealous" 150 pts
E4 Light Frigate "Slingshot" 75 pts

total = 1,000 pts

Way to go!

My Hydrans are mostly named for Royal Navy vessels.

I'm not finalising a Kzinti fleet list for K0tSB until the errata comes out. (I want to see if they do anything with the DW).

my 1000pts

C8 Dreadnought - Herald of Oblivion 320pts
D5W Heavy Cruiser - Flame of Victory 185pts
D5 War Cruiser - Revenge 165pts
D6 Heavy Cruiser - Cry Havoc 150pts
F5 Frigate - Swift Blade 100pts
E4 Light Frigate - Seeker 75pts

995 pts

no command ships? just wondering if there was a reason why you didn't think the +1 to Initiative would be worth the points.

+1 Initiative is good but I want to play with a Dreadnought and to get a range of good ships to go with it I can't afford a Command ship as there is only the one choice. I could have gone for less ships to get one but I think 5-6 ships is about right for this level.

we get the +1 anyway so on a par with a fed player with Command - Romulans and Kziniti are almost certain to have it -and the Orions / Gorn will be maybe 2 down.

Sneakie Sneakie Romulans

Nova Hawk Command Cruiser Imperial Hawk - 240 points
Sparrow Hawk Light Cruiser Defiance - 170 points
Sparrow Hawk Light Cruiser Havoc - 170 points
Sparrow Hawk Light Cruiser - Harrower - 170 points
Snipe Battle Frigate Lupus - 120 points
Snipe Battle Frigate Orcus - 120 points

990 points total

Shouldn't the names be more....well,,sneaky?

Where is the Federation?

There's a distinct absence of Federation entries.

After some thought;

Kzinti Battlegroup 13

DN Lion King
CC Top Cat
BC Growltiger
CM Jones
FF K109

Total - 1,000

Yeah that is actually very nasty - might get In sinked but you might not care given the firepower?

that and none of those ships are Agile, and while they have a better turn radius than most of their counterparts, I think losing out on the Agile trait will make it play a little differently than most Klingon fleets.

I'll join in :)

At 1,000 points, it is so tempting to pulll in a Federation-class dreadnought but, if I am really looking to win (and, being the games' designer, that is probably a forlorn hope...);

2 x Kirov-class Battlecruisers, BCJ variant (the Montana and the Thunderchild) 430 points
Kearsage-class New Light Cruiser (the Repulse) 160 points
Constitution-class Heavy Cruiser (the Valiant) 180 points
Ortega-class War Destroyer (the Ocalan) 120 points
Ramius-class Battle Frigate (the Marko Ramius) 110 points

Note: I do not guarantee victory if anyone chooses to copy this fleet list. The twin Battlecruisers are solid choices, but the good decisions probably ended there!

Well, i'm going Federation and that fleet looks good to me. I'd settled on the twin Battlecruisers already but hadn't thought of going with the BCJ variant for both.

Federation Battlegroup:

1 x BCH Kirov Class 240
2 x CA Constitution Class 360
1 x DW Ortega Class 120
2 x FFG Burke Class 190
1 x POL Callahan Class 85 (named after that infamous auto parts manufacturer in Sandusky Ohio)
Total 995

Having played a game last night, it was hard enough to keep track of a single ship, let alone a fleet of 5 ot 6, so my view is a few strong ships are better than multiple weaker ships (at this moment in time of course)!

@ Da Boss - I agree, I will probably lose the init, sink, but if I can turn the remainder of the ships on a single target, I think it will be toast in a very short space of time!!

I am looking forward to the Tournament with hopefully plenty of time to practice in between! :D
