[ACTA: B5] Looking to sell original box set plus 2nd edition

In my efforts to downsize again, I have been purging my vast collection of rpgs and other books. I stumbled across my original 1st edition Call to Arms box set along with the 2nd edition hardcover and the 2nd edition hardcover Fleet Lists. The box set comes complete with everything plus an unopened Sky Full of Stars counter pack and a 3' x 6' length of material representing a star field. Also included are the Gale Force 9 firing arc tools. Everything is in Mint condition outside of all of the original ships punched and put into sorted ziplock bags. The two hardcover books are still in new condition as I never got around to playing more than a single game and they have been sitting on a bookshelf ever since.

Asking price is $175 and if you live in the continental U.S., I'll ship it to you. Outside the U.S., and you'll have to pay shipping. If interested, let me know and we can work out the details. :)

Looking at resell values on Amazon and Ebay, they appear to be very rare. I'm only going by what I've discovered researching it. *shrug*

Hi. Amazon and Ebay can be deceiving as to values, as vendors there use software that gradually escalates the price to amazingly high numbers in the hope of some sucker coming along. Ebay, you have to look at completed sales that list what said item actually sold for. If you look at asking price, you may find that it's much higher than sold for price.

If you look at webstores of companies that buy used games and resell, you'll find very different numbers. Troll and Toad or Noble Knight are the two main ones I look at.

For example, look at what Noble Knight sells the boxed set for: $30.00.

2nd Edition rulebook (softcover): ($80).

I could not find recent sales for the fleet lists or hard cover 2nd edition rulebook.

I would say that asking $475 is wildly unrealistic. I think that $125-150 would be more likely to get someone interested. However, you are free to ask whatever you think you can get, but unless you find someone seriously uneducated as to current value, good luck with that.

well for the main box I can see it for $30 or less on ebay at the moment. and thats the expensive thing. everything else, well as billco said, good luck with that.
best to put it on ebay yourself as doubt you will get a buyer here at that price

I have no issue dropping the price to a more realistic value. That's for the help as to where I should look. Sounds like $175 is a far more reasonable price. I will amend my original post to reflect the new price. Thanks, guys.
