ACTA:2 cover - Bird of Prey?

Well if you look on the ADB facebook, there's the draft of the ACTA2: Electric SFU cover, which features something that looks very much like a B'rel class bird of prey.

Could we get some more information?

I would give you 2 to 1 odds that that is just a place holder the artist slapped in to have something in place for the B10. If ADB sold a product with the B'rel on the cover, The Mongoose ADB Joiint Venture would probably come to a screeching hault as the Cease and Desist Order landed on both of them like a Extinction Level Event, asteroid strike.

But you have to admit really cool picture there.

If it's just a placeholder it wouldn't have been put up on the ABD facebook.

It may mean that Mongoose have negotiated limited access to some of the Star Trek IP, in the same way Taldren did with Star Fleet Commander with the Miranda and Bird of Prey and the SFB stats and game mechanics.

I very much doubt they've licensed anything from Paramount. They'd make a bigger deal about it. That is probably a mistake or (poorly chosen) placeholder or something.

Looks very nice. I'd love to see more art like this. I agree I would've prefered to see the Mars squaring off against the Invincible, if only to continue tradition:

You can really see how much Adam has progressed as an artist by comparing the FCBA cover to that one for Starmada.

The Klingon ship looks too out of place to me, as if it's been edited in separately to the rest of the picture. Hopefully that's something that can be fixed as the picture progresses, as it promises to be a good image otherwise.
