A very long Adira Gravatic Energy Grid VS Fighters question

Another Fanhead question (and I apologize ahead of time for the length) but here goes:

The Adira is attacked by a boatload of ISA fighters (I think they could be Gaim fighters that can turn into kamakaze missiles...Super AP, Precise, blah blah blah etc etc). She is also attacked by a bunch of fighters that chose not to throw their lives away and come in with regular attacks...

Anyway, the Adira goes through her 6 Antifighter rolls and she knocks some down...of course there is still some fighters and fighter-turned-missiles coming in at her...

Ok, if I understand it correctly, the GEG, pg 18, says basically that the first 3 hits of Damage/Crew are ignored from each separate weapon attacking it (although crit damage can still take affect).
Now, pg. 29 says that when fighters attack back they are treated as "each flight being one weapon system"
Lastly, previous posts indicate that the GEG forces the unusual situation requiring your opponent to roll separately for each weapon attacking the Adira even if the attacks are in squadron form (be it ship or fighters). Ok fine.

Now to my point...the regular fighters in my above scenario can't normally harm the Adira because each individual fighter would not likely exceed the 3 GEG damage/crew points. The best that can be hoped is for a crit and that's about it.

Is this course of reasoning correct? I assume so as the Adira is suppossed to be an absolute behemoth. In that our group uses 6 Redundency House Rule for Armegeddon...it comes down to the fact that one would need a ton of fighters to start scratching her paint (and pray to Greatmaker for crits) correct?... what does everyone think? 8)

The primary concern about redundancy was it's interaction with GEG, one reason a lot of folks talked about redundancy only blocking critical effects.

But yes, you are doing it correctly.

What if fighter has two weapons (like Tbolt)? GEG works against each weapon separetly or the whole fighter is a single weapon system, and GEG works agains sum of hits from all weapons from a single fighter?

Firstly: GEG works against each weapon sepearately. That includes multiple weapons from one flight of fighters.
Secondly: GEG works against damage, not hits.

True, however to me if you take the context of the whole paragraph, its trying to get the idea across that flights are basically to be treated as ships in general...

Hence "just as if you were nominating targets for a ship's weapons systems " and the phrase "- in effect all of your flights act as a single ship" I believe support this idea. In other words you have a massive amount of little "ships" (each with their own weapon system or systems) with the only difference being that you get to shoot them all at once as a squadron.

Further taken in the context of the above, the phrase to treat the fighter as being "one weapon system" is meant in general otherwise what logic is in the idea that ships have to deduct GEG 3 from each of their weapon system hits but a fighter would not?

Also, if you look at the previous post from a while back (now on pg2) about the GEG I think Ripple summed it up best that what should be said here is WEAPON TYPE not weapon system which meaning is used interchangebly thoughout the rules which certainly can be confusing at times...

Lastly, the GEG says on pg 18 to deduct damage/crew hits FROM EACH SEPARATE WEAPON ...it says nothing about weapon systems or types or anything else...it says EACH SEPARATE WEAPON period. I'd say that pretty much trumps any of my rambling above....so whether it be one, two, or ten weapons, if it's basically listed on a separate line of the ship's/fighters weapon info...3 damage/crew hits go "poof" for each one...

We have another word for the Adira that starts with "B" but I'll keep this polite...

Thanks! Boomer
