This tool is commonly found in a ship engineer’s tool box. Called an A-Joiner for short, the Atomic Joiner allows one to connect two pieces of metal together at the atomic level so that they are as a single piece. Providing that the two pieces are of the same metal.
This hand tool is a much smaller version of the TL 12 Atomic Joiner that is used to assemble large structures like buildings or space craft.
An example of usage: If a metal wall had a 1 meter diameter hole and you wanted to permanently close it you would take a metal plate that was larger and place it over the hole. Taking the A-joiner and placing it where the two pieces touch you slowly run it around the the piece until you traced the entire thing. It creates and atomic level join up to 8 centimeters away from the tip of the tool. In this example the ideal patch size would be 116 centimeters in diameter. Giving 8 centimeters of overlap that would be joined.
This tool is rechargeable and stores enough power to create 100 meters of join before needing recharging.
