A Few Questions

I know that Starship Troopers is being revised and re-written and this should make the game much better, however is this a replacement for Starship Troopers Evolution as It has not been released yet.

Also It will be three months before the Version 2 Starship Troopers is released and at this time will the new rule book be released along with all the revised miniatures all at the same time or in stages.

Well, it replaces Starship Troopers: Evolution on the project books, and I guess that means it replaces it for the fans. Other than that, do you feel like it's a replacement?

I am not official witht the company or anything, but I can fill in more information.

Starship Troopers Vol. 2 replaces SST Evolution. The working name for Vol. 2 is named War of the Species.

As for releases, I think there are going to be one release for each faction upon release, as well as the rule book. There will then be one release a month per faction for the first year apparently, and then one new army a year, I think, but there could be6 races after a year to two years in the form of the coven and soe other named race... cant remember them, they are kind of borgey.

The miniarures will be released monthly, and not all at once.

So no SST Evolution at all and has the project been abandoned?

I suppose this is a good thing as I really like painting miniatures, lets hope this works out with no problems so we can get our new Starship Troopers miniatures ASAP.

Any Idea if there will be a starter set with the rule book like the old Starship Troopers?

Well, it's been put on permanent hiatus...

Any details about books and models hasn't been bandered about that much, in all honesty.

The current miniatures range, in most part, will be kept, but revised and have quality control issues addressed. Some models are being replaced with new versions. Not sure about army books. Also, some sculpts, like LAMI and exosuits, and arachnid warriors will be kept. Others like the brain bug and tanker are being redone in resin, while cap troopers are being redone in plastic.

As for Evo, from what I understand, is on hiatures until the new evo game coming out toward the end of next year is released. Based on its success there may well be a prepainted SST, but for now its a propers old school miniature game people can paint and convert with.

Yup a three month wait, with the launch being some time at the start of the second quarter of the year. Hope that helps. It gives you time to save for new stuff!
