A few questions about the Gaim

Hello everyone:
I have a few questions about the Gaim. (Please note that I have the 2ed Fleet Book, but I do not have the 2ed Rule Book and I have not played any games under 2ed as of yet and have not used the Gaim, but I am very intrested in trying them out)

1) Under the Gaim special rules it states that your ships have a Crew Quality equal to the nearest Queen. Does that mean in a senario or battle that you have two or more Queen ships that the overall Crew Quality score for your ships is from the Queen with the highest Crew Quality or do you need to measure the distance from your ships to the nearest Queen ship and take that Crew Quality score? (example: lets say you have a 5pt Raid fleet with 2 Shuuka Queen Light Cruisers, 3 Sataaka's, 1 Stuteeka, 1 Skrunnka, and 2 Stak's. Your Crew Quality scores for the two Shuuka's is: Shuuka A [5] and Shuuka B [6])

2) Using the above fleet as an example, lets say Shuuka B is destroyed, does the Crew Quality for the fleet drop to 5 for the remaining Queen or does it drop to 1 taking into account the -4 penality from loosing a Queen?

3) Is the Shaakak worth taking? Looking at its stats and abilities I would think taking two Shuuka's would be better for the points, though I have not yet played with the Gaim, I am basing this from stats alone thus far.

1: as it says from the nearest queen to your ship, so in your example to use the CQ 6 you would have to be closer to that queen ship, otherwise use CQ5.

2: drops to 5 for remaining queen, dont get the penalty until all queens are dead.

3: better interceptors and AF on the raid ship, otherwise no your probably right and better with 2 queens. however the smaller ones are easier to kill of course. and combined they have same damage as the raid ship but easier to cripple the 2 smaller ships than the one raid ship.
