Well maybe more than a day. Seems through most of Traveller history, he has been sort of a remote character. What if someone were to write a novel about him to get to know him a little better? Do you think he could be an interesting character to write about? What if someone told a story from his point of view? What do you think?

His death was truly epic. Brought down an empire and all that.
But no one ever wrote a novel about that, or did they? Never seen it in a bookstore. In Dungeons & Dragons, they wrote novels about rulers all the time, like Cormyr for instance.

I ran a con game in which you could play him (and Dulinor, Iphagenia, Norris and Varian/Lucan called Eve of Rebellion. Piecing together a lot of his stuff comes from a lot of different books and periods (much of it is revealed in later time periods such as TNE or even Out of the Darness).

I had him as an aware and concerned monarch who knew the Empress Wave was approaching (via Longbow) and it spelt an existential threat to the Imperium, for which he had to prepare it- this then drove a lot of the Strephonian Reforms and his secret cacheing of recovery supplies as Project Jumpstart.

I'm re-running it at Seven Hills convention this month.
