A Call to Arms section of the website.

Delthos

Mongoose
Wow, they completely removed it from the website. I was hoping they could leave it there, but remove the add to cart links. I guess that isn't possible. Now I won't be able to use it for reference to see if I got all the parts for my ships that are coming in or even for photo reference. Oh well, I'll have to make do with the fleet list.

Wow, yeah that does suck. I guess you can't buy the books any more either then.....

So much for "Acta is not dead"!!! Full Thrust, anyone?

By all accounts A Call to Arms was Mongoose's greatest success, now we're being treated like unwanted step children!

So much for customer relations...thanks for all your last minute buys but so long reference pics and info on our site... *shrugs*

Matt just posted in another thread a sorta "we have this stuff planned for ACTA players in upcoming events/S&P/support.

Matt anyway you can at least leave the ACTA mini pages up so we can refer to them for painting and info ?

I would hope they can put up some sort of reference section later. Knowing web design, it was probably a lot easier to simply drop the whole section rather than try and tweak it and most online shopping systems are bought, not built anyway. It doesn't surprise me this is how they did it, but as I said, I hope they can do the reference section later.

Cheers, Gary

I'd echo these thoughts - keep the section pretty much as before but without the costs or options to put the ships in your basket. If nothing else, it's good to see the pictures (including of the fleet boxed sets).

If anyone has a cached versions of the product images and descriptions they could be put up somewhere else? I have somewhere to put them if needs be...

The FRPgames website still has all the pics (www.frpgames.com) since they still sell the line until they run out.

Cheers, Gary

I am not surprised by the move to take the shop down completely. I am shocked that they don't even have an ACTA section on their home website header. They have a section for Victory at Sea which has just as many supported products(Rulebook and second book). How does anyone even find out about the game? or that there is continuing support in S&P without digging through several pages? Silly IMO.

I'll have to look more into Full Thrust. At first glance, the inertial system put me off(I think that was FT). I was also looking at Starmada X, but I really don't like the blind-move system. That mechanic seems like it should be an optional rule for an alternate game style. I like ACTA for its simple mechanics that allow more time to be spent playing the game, however I think there are still a few mechanics that need some streamlining and it now looks like nothing is on the horizon.

Always found the website easier. Maybe because I'm on the web all the time, books are waay over on that shelf and require much flipping.
