2nd Wave.

lol could be that I suppose :D
Are the walker thingies that price too? 15 quid doesnt seem to bad for one of those... The only price over here at the moment is that damocles box set and that has no appeal for me whatsoever but the latter stuffs kinda nice

I don't know...we've only had infantry over here in the stats... and frankly, they come with some terrain pieces too, which makes them more appealing than six figures (humans come with six interchangable heads... yeah, completely worth the $32 USD) in one stinking box.

Well the Evo units are 20 quid over here so thats kinda like $40... Still I think two extra men are a bit more useful than different heads :D
Oh wow! I just found out the doors open on the shipping crates, thats so cool :D

Well, Matt's giving us poor Americans a bit of a break...we're only paying $30 intead of $40. .. which is the source of one of Evil's complaints.

Well its all part of the joys of living over here lol.
Money seems to go alot further over your end anyway, and you've gotta charge what the market will bare, if you dont someone else will :D

I'm almost tempted to take up that challenge evil;)
for my own amusement that is, that and the fact that a speedchallenge might get me painting, i'd have to do it with an equivalent mount of figs and tanks from another source tho, since my current "moderns" are all afghanis and russians.. and a platoon of abrams tanks

the challenge is with the mgp minis ;) were judging pait jobs not minis :D

You could in the basic game, but the advanced rules have more restrictions on what units you can take in an army.

I was on about painting a 1K force in 3 Days :D
A tank a day seems doable, air brush, dry brush, paint some slogans on and you've gone a step further than the prepaint :D

Not quite - or at least, only if you try to sell the sets to the US yourself and try to break even. In the UK, the price has VAT built in, and your purchasing power is greater. Direct comparisons are very hard to make.

nobody has complained about the tanks though, my challenge is if you can complain about the infantry paint job. if you cant do better quicker then dont complain.

I was just giving you a heads up in case someone does take you up on the challange :D

Matt don't worry I wasn't implying anything, like I said on the rest of the post its just par for the course of living over here, that said international shippings getting cheaper and cheaper these days (Discount Hobby offer $7 international shipping regardless of size or weight of order!) and it does make sense to take advantage of the strong pound/weak dollar from time to time.

Can you give us any more detail on that?

I know from my stat card that you can only field one command unit per 2000 points in the EFTF.

so much so if anybody wishes to say they can paint wave one 1k force in faster than 3 days and of a far highter standard, i will buy them an infantry box and a tank of their choice.

why cuz i know it wont happen.

My wife could do it. . . no sweat.

Give her a chance to practice the camo on a couple models first, then give her the 1,000 point army, she will probably have it done in less than 24 hours exceeding the quality level they ship with.

Of course, not only is she a great painter. . . but she is freakishly fast! She just gets "in the zone" and blows though everthing. Its pretty awesome!

Of course, arranging the demonstration would probably be more effort than simply buying the stuff! LOL!!

I'd gladly take your challenge, but I've got about 60 minis I've got to get done for a convention next month and they aren't an assembly line type scheme. :D
But I reeeaallly want to try an arctic camo set at some point.
