2E release date

Three words for you all...

TASK FORCE GAMES.

Compared to them, mongoose is the picture of punctuality. Say that three times fast.

but then no-one is perfect, and in this day and age, more and more companies release incomplete products, just look at PC games, half of them ave patches on release day, books get errata downloads, cars get recalls to replace the fatal brake problem (eep!) It's a sad fact that these days the consumer is so demanding on release dates, that organisations do rush products out. Sure they may give a release date, that is to shut people whining that they don't have enough info. We, the public, cause these problems ourselves in this modern must have info age.

wow, Hiff, very profound!

Especially considering the source. After all that has happened Mother Ship wise. Yep, Hiff and the Parliment Funkadelic, still waiting on the Mother Ship.

Mongoose do seem to overstretch themselves a little. They are also somewhat optimistic on their release dates.

Compare that to Eden, who singularly failed to release the Guide to Sunnydale for the Buffy RPG and released the Angel RPG more that six months later than their initial release date.

I'm still awaiting my Conspiracy X: Extraterrestrial Sourcebook which Eden were supposed to release in December....

They also had the Area 51 soucebook listed years ago and kep delaying it month after month, year after year. It was never released.....

Did anyone try to buy masters of orion 3.
I waited for 18 months for it, delay after delay, and all i can assume based upon how bad the game was, is that they spent 18 months destroying any shread of playeability.

yeah, I bought it...played for a day, and then uninstalled it when I found my planets weren't making what I told them to make...what a crap game.

Chern

I don't mind waiting until Mongoose are totally satisfied with 2E.
It will be great to put an end all the speculations, debates and playtesting and get back to taking over the universe b5 style again :)

one of the worst games i have ever played in my life... uninstalled it after a day.

got MOO2 on my computer and i still have the odd game, how`s that for long term playability :?: :D :D :D

I just don't understand how they made it so bad, Moo2, and BOTF were great games, then boom, Moo3 was a crock of comething you really don't want a crock of.

Cause Micropose went out of business, though to be honest I don't know if the new guys were former Micropose devs, so my assumption maybe inaccurate.

It is worth saying that this date is the start of the week when we can get it to US stores. If you are in Europe, you will likely see it sooner. If you are in the UK, you certainly will. Those who have had it on pre-order from us for a while will see it sooner still.

My question is will we see it on, wargamingonline.com in similar time frames? As a Yankee stuck traveling more than anything else, I prefer to have my copies digital, and there fore portable.
So when will the digital version be slated for release?
Thank You
AQP

Digital versions usually follow within a month of the paper release.

Jeez.....
I remember when I was a kid, and they told us the digital age would speed everything up, and make paper useless by the time I was an adult.
This is one sad TARU that wishes he still had space for hard copy.

Oh well.
Any chance you can make it so we can pre-order 2nd edition in digital?

Thank You
AQP

Err whats the point? Just order it when it's released, you get it instantly anyway!

Just venting my inner child and his impatience.

simple sales technique, release the more expensive item first, so people will buy it. those people who are middle of the road on what to buy, will then look to the book as it is available first. It's the reason why Movies go on at the cinema before they hit DVD...
