2300AD Tools For Frontier Living - Thalassa

rust

Mongoose
Over the holidays I finally had the time to take a closer look at
Tools for Frontier Living, and the material is even better than
I had hoped for. While I do not use the 2300AD setting itself -
I have problems with its background history - I started to work
on an otherwise rather similar setting of my own, with the focus
(once more) on a water world colony, this time on the planet
Thalassa in the Charon-System, which is colonized by the Euro-
pean Union with France as the lead nation - below is Thalassa's
flag.

Well, the main reason for this post is that I wanted to express
my admiration and gratitude for the excellent supplement. :)

Thank you. Much of the book is designed to be usable in any setting. It's all things that I myself wanted to see myself.

I bought it for use with my own setting, I've been waiting for the release ever since it was announced.

Keep up the excellent work Colin. Some of the art work aside 2300 is setting a very high standard for regular Traveller to try and follow.

Well done and keep it up.

No really, keep it up, when do we get the next one

Just finishing off the Vehicle Upgrade book for Traveller, then I will be working on Salvage Rights and the French Arm Sourcebook. Tools needed to be finalized before I could finish the French Arm.

What is the "Vehicle Upgrade Book"?

More of a "booklet", really. Some additional chassis types and modifications, along with rules for creating vehicular drones and robots, ultra-heavy vehicles, and a bunch of new weapons. The part I'm working on right now are the design examples.

Consider a copy sold. :)

Ooo. New Rust colonial setting. The more information the better....
Thank you very much for the interest, but unfortunately
I currently do not have the time for long posts about the
new setting. :(

We'll just have to stop time for you till you do.

According to the Mongoose website, Tools for Frontier Living is due out in April. We're well into April now - I visited Travelling Man on Friday and they said it wasn't in stock and it won't be in next week's deliveries either.

So... any news when it will be out?

Presuming you're asking about a print edition? I couldn't say but the electronic version is available now at drivethrurpg, etc.

Yes. I'm so used to buying print editions (with a free Bits and Mortar PDF) that I sometimes forget about the PDFs on their own :)

I pre-ordered this and the French Arm adventures over 14 months ago and still waiting for the hard copies. I got impatient and got the electronic versions. I just hope the delays are to improve the rather disappointing art.

OK... its now the middle of May and Tools for Frontier Living is listed as "pre-order". Any idea when it will be in Travelling Man in Newcastle?
