[2300AD] The Dukou Terraforming Miracle

It seems that the Manchurian terraformers have developed
a spectacular new technology which enabled them to turn
a desert world into a water world in only about 30 pages:
On page 42 Dukou still has an UWP of BA8051A-8, but on
page 75 it already has an UWP of BA8A51A-8 ... :shock:

By the way, Crater also seems to have some rather interes-
ting history, it starts on page 41 with an UWP of B7516-7 (a
somewhat incomplete survey result) and develops to an UWP
of B751666-9 on page 58. :?

Goes back to what I have always said...

The published books are the Public Record of what is going on.

The Referee decides what is REALLY going on.

UWPs have been wrong since the very first book that had them. No reason to make the consistant now!

You want to get rid of that competing corporation which also produces
life rafts, you search for a nice very remote desert world and change its
UWP to that of a water world in the competitor's computer, and their sa-
les representatives will not cut into your business for many months ... 8)
