There's a little movie called "Iron Sky" that, near the end, has some near future earth ships from various nations attacking an enemy too weird to explain just now. (Seriously, go look up the movie here: http://www.ironsky.net/site/ )
Anyway, the ships externally look like 2300 ships and might be good inspiration for some ships players want to design.
At least I saw them as looking like 2300 ships, they were plausibly designed on the outside and 2300 players might want to see the movie just for them.
Here's a link to the CGI short that shows the cgi in process and you can see some of the earth ships in it. BTW, the ships that look like zepplins, I'm not referring to them, they're not the earth ships that have the 2300 look, they're the moon nazi ships.
