Ok, tried to do this in High Guard 2022 and the absolute best I can get is 52.17 tons of cargo space. And that comes at a cost of 44.2MCr. Cepheus doesn't require a minimum tonnage for the Jump drive it looks like, so that makes 5.5 tons of difference right there. The power plant is also smaller than I can get by about 50%. But everything else is either smaller or the same size. I think the rest of the difference is from need for Common Area.

Ok, I can't get close on cargo capacity, so I went for price instead. 
I can't build a much more basic hauler than this. It will work with your layout, but it's got a workshop in the engineering spaces or something. I also cheated and used AutoBerth Clusters to save space but increase the low passengers to 18 while keeping costs down.

Wow, that's a good design. Should be profitable between cargo and spec trading.

Yup. Using Ken Pick's Commercial Efficiency Ratio, I make it a CER of 3.71, which indeed can make a profit combining spec trade with freight runs.

Thank you for the compliment. Two other articles on the site that are at least peripherally relevant to this thread would be Building a Ship's Financial Profile, for figuring out the actual costs and needed profit, and Building a Commercial Atlas, for figuring out how likely that profit might be. Both are over my own byline. I haven't sat down and worked out either for either of the 150dt designs in this thread, but all the information you need is in the three articles...

Appreciated. Off topic for this thread, but I enjoyed applying the formula to my civilian Warmonger (Hercules, a merchant tender) and the 50,000-ton robotically piloted pods I created for it. Proof my design would be very profitable.

Interesting. The only way that it ostensibly won't make a profit on pure freight is with the J6 - and even then, it'll be profitable with spec trading.

I see it as the biggest merchant houses moving vast amounts of freight. It has a column for profit via freight using the published rates and is even profitable at J6.
As the robotic pods can pilot themselves to and from the ship, the layover times are reduced, and I figured they could get 2.8 jumps (3-day layovers) in a maintenance period. Even reduced to 2 jumps a maintenance period, the J6 is by far the most profitable.
