11th Discipline Project

How Do All, ATM I'm working on (one of many LW Projects) want I call my 11th Discipline Project, it revolves around coming up with an 11th Discipline for a number of classes and then writing a longish adventure where the character sets out to find the "Lost 11th Discipline". Once the players finish the adventure they can choose to learn the "Lost 11th Discipline" or take a Rank as normal that is if they are of the Adventures staring class.

So far I have Disciplines and drafts of the Adventures for Border Rangers and Sommerling Knights.

For the Boarder Ranger one the Discipline and Adventure have the same name Mark of the Swift Arrow.

The Adventure starts out on the first day of spring, the characters are attending a Tournament, between rounds of the Archery Contest the judges (Border Ranger Epic Heroes) are giving demonstrations of their superior skills (Showing off their High Marks of f the Archer and Marksman), but one of the Judges shows off an amazing rapid fire skill. the Players will not win the contest and it's Superior Craftsmanship Long Bow prize but the GM should let them place if they are good enough. after the contest they will have no problems tracking down the Judge who was preforming the rapid fire trick shots, when asked about his technique he admits that he dose not use it in real combat as their are too many thing that can go wrong with it, he dose admit that that the Ranger Capitan that taught it to him did use it in combat with mixed success but he is dead now, if they are with luck they may be able to learn the technique from the Kai as they helped an other Border Ranger (who his captain called "The Swift Arrow) who develop it originally some 40 years ago, from the Boarder Ranger they learn the basics and he then sends them on their way, the rest of Act One has them trek to the Kai Monastery encountering various nasties along the way.

Act Two has them reach the Kai Monastery, hear they learn more about the Swift Arrow, both the man and the technique, turns out the man known as Swift Arrow as a youth spent a year in the Kai Monastery and was offered a place among the Kai (and was given the Kai name Swift Arrow) but instead chose to become a Border Ranger like his father, but he remained a friend of the Kai all used his Kai name and even A Kai master who was his blood brother can not recall the name he was born with but they will be told he was caught up in a diplomatic scandal striped of his commission and imprisoned but was able to escape and clear his name his real name should be in the official records in the capital, and they should be able to track him down from there as Swift Arrow last visited the monastery just a few years ago and then he was in good health, he told his Kai Friends that he had retired to his home village and that too should be in the official records. Act Two finishes out with the journey to the capital.

Act Three has the characters track down the information on where to find the man Swift Arrow, in the process they stumble across a foreign assassin also trying to track down Swift Arrow to redeem their family name (they lost it in the plot that Swift Arrow undid many years ago). the players may put an end to the assassin's plot in a griping chance, hunt or show down in the capital or may have to race to warn Swift Arrow of the approaching danger.

Act Four regardless of how Act Three turns out the players will stumble across more than their fair share of bandits as they approach Swift Arrows village only to find a hoard of bandits preparing to attack, epic battle follows and if the assassin was not dealt with in Act Three they will use the battle as a cover to try and kill Swift Arrow.

Epilogue, If Swift Arrow survives in gratitude for helping save his village he teaches any Boarder Rangers who wish to learn The Mark of the Swift Arrow Discipline and even shows them The High Mark of the Swift Arrow
