In my campaign, ships and shares as benefits are being treated as a pension bonus, just as suggested in the rules.
On topic: Another strange thing that happened with our Engineer: He tried several times (via Academy and regularly) to join the Navy. He failed all qualification roles. After...
This is the quote from the adventure:
"The structure at the end of the single spoke is specifically mounted to counteract the ship’s rotation, making docking easier for lesser-skilled pilots."
This does indeed not rule out that the docking mechanism then starts spinning the pinnace.
But still the pinnace you neef to rotate with the docking ring, doesn't it? I can think of no mechanism where the pinnace is not spinning and the lab ship is, if you want to actually transfer.
I did not expect our Vargr Space Marine to be a highly talented psion with access to all psion skills but teleportation...
The chances of that happening are so small that I decided to run with it and build it into my Ancients campaign as a plot point.
Oh, he is also a cook.
While it is not a dramatic overhaul, personally I liked the changes in version 2 a lot since they ironed out some problems I had with 1st Edition. Original Traveller feels like a simulation created by computer scientists. Mongoose Traveller 1 essentially kept that feeling with some adjustemts...
Yesterday we had pur first game of Mongoose Traveller 2 and everything worked like a charm. With one minor exception:
One of our players had German language settings (we are all German but most of us use English Traveller) and found that some translations are a bit off. "Pilot" for example...
The gas giant refuel rules I mentioned above are in the Traveller Companion, not High Guard. But there is nothing regarding water pressure. Still a worthwile read for that topic because it has different game effects for various depths which can be used for water too.
Also I think it was a plot...
Absolute fantastic and exactly what I was hoping for! Many thanks, you are a blessing to the Roll20 Traveller community.
I will test the css issue when I am back at home at my gaming pc.
I think individual sheets would be fine, since then it is easier to combine them with tokens. In this case you can even track the hit point status with the token itself via status bar.
Thanks!
On a more serious not, I think High Guard has some information on how deep into a Gas Giant a ship can dive for hyfrogen retrieval. That should give some indications.
One of the few puzzling changes from MGT1 to MGT2 was the beam/pulse laser switcheroo. In MGT1 beam lasers were the better weapons but in MGT2 it is the other way around. I understand that this probably is a balance issue, because now you can habe beam lasers that are easier to hit with but less...
