How about some more information on the Flaming Cobra process, focusing on specific details? I see some specifics on a thread on collective-endeavour.com, but there doesn't seem to be many details on the Mongoose site here, unless I'm missing something?

Exactly. It is a pain to go through a bunch of books to find creature stats, so I wanted a compiled source along with any worthwhile new beasts. It sounds good!

It was alright, but: 1. Had too much narration. 2. Didn't explain how one goes from frigid mountain tribes of caucasians through jungles to get to black tribes and then on to deserts to get to quasi-Atlanteans / Egyptians. I just can't picture it geographically at all.

It's fine to have it stated as a general matter, but also useful to repeat it in the actual entries, so that people catch it when working up characters. Sure, it's probably a minor errata not to get listed also under the class, but not a world-ender.

Sure, probably the majority, but the subject of this thread was about other ways to do it than d20, so you won't find many on here talking about their use of d20 ;)

There is a fantasy D6 book available, which may be helpful. I really like SW D6 (running it tomorrow actually, having dusted it off after over 10 years of not running it). It is a very easy system, intuitive to run things on the fly (in contrast to NPCs in Conan/DnD), but has a few flaws...

I generally like what I hear of the skills system, as it makes it easier to run on the fly, and getting rid of things like synergy bonuses, etc. make it easier as well. Putting back in random miscellaneous bonuses like this Perception bonus will only make it as much a pain in the ass to run as...

Yeah, their swords and their horses are often the source of loot, if PCs find it necessary (and often do) - actually such feels as if is worth more than it should be sometimes...

Reasonable enough. Though acquiring boats, trade goods to be merchants, etc. can be the direct acquisition which is wealth-equivalent as well.
