Does anyone here know of a canon(ish) source of designs for semi-autonomous reconnaissance drones? Something you give a station and a pattern to and it will pootle up and down sending observations back to an operator.
Happy to design my own but if something already exists in a Core book, or...
Thanks. A corollary of that is that the 5dT air/raft docking bay on the SX Extended Serpent class Scout can take at most a 9-space vehicle, not a "standard" 5dT IISS air/raft. I like that. I have some background that is almost writing itself now.
Arrgh, nope. My brain refuses to understand this. I still don't get it.
Does the listed/calculated shipped size for a vehicle include that extra 10% for the docking bay? So, a 10-space vehicle is actually 4.55dT , and can be shipped in a minimum 5dT space? Or does the 5dT shipping size for a...
Thanks. Ah, OK. So if my bay is actually 5dT, I can only fit a 4.55dT = 9 spaces vehicle in it? I confess that having been away to play D&D for a few months I have completely lost track of this. Is that something specified in High Guard rather than the new VHB?
Edit: ah, yes - HG p61...
I am still a bit unclear on this.
If I have a 5dT bay, I can put a 10-spaces vehicle in it. How big is the vehicle - 2.5dT? or just a shade less than 5dT?
I have been trying to use the 2026 VHB to spec the IISS air/raft from JTAS 6. The VHB version comes in at nearly 2.5x the cost, around 2.5 MCr. Is this to be expected, or am I doing something wrong?
XLOOKUP() isn't the issue - it's use of the default parameter values, which are an Excel XLOOKUP() thing only. And using CONCAT() instead of CONCATENATE().
Still very grateful to have it, though.
What is the minimum version of Excel required to use the new vehicle design spreadsheet? (I can't work out how to get it to work in Google Sheets or Libre Calc :()
Edit: Ah - global replace of ,) with ,1)
and of CONCAT( with CONCATENATE( seems to do it in GSheets
Oh, OK - I guess I was getting to bound up with trying to understand the text. If I had ignored that I might have done better. And I see now that page 26 says a Space is approximately 3.5 cubic metres. And now I have seen that, the weird text on p25 makes more sense, as long as we ignore the...
I've searched here but can't find this already discussed so I assume I'm just being thick.
I don't understand what the new VHB means on page 25 where it says
Can anyone explain what that actually means to me please? If I have a 5dT docking bay available on a spaceship, what size vehicle in...
