Larger versions of deck plans for LBB owners

Many thanks to the fellow board member that PMed me and emailed me a better quality scan (yes it is a bitmap and it isn't perfect but it is better than what I had). Still it would be nice if these plans could be posted elsewhere officially as pdfs for those of us that choose the LBB versions.

Larger versions of deck plans for LBB owners

I am currently looking at using the deck plan for "Planetoid Monitor" in the High Guard book in my campaign. I own the LBB2 edition of High Guard... I am a huge fan of the LBB editions as they are a great help in cutting down on the clutter that seems to go along with most of the other RPG...

    Zombies In Space!!

That sounds like a pretty cool idea. Definitely do it on a big, quiet ship. As well as making the players look for survivors and research data you might want to ratchet up the tension a notch by having some key part fail on their ship which can readily be obtained in the engineering bay of the...

    Advancement in Traveller?

I agree that skill creep is a serious risk with this system but I'm not sure how workable a skill reduction system would be. The reason I say this is that knowing my players they would just go out of their way to excercise their skills regularly at the risk of derailing the point of the session...

    Advancement in Traveller?

While I think valid point have been made on a number of topics including: -Role- vs roll- playing -GM vs player expectations -The correlation of "equipment size" to gaming style -A variety of other issues I too would like to see some more discussion on the OPs topic (the link between char gen...

Is there a "MRQ II for Dummies"?

Yeah a quick reference to the core mechanics like you have started working on Phil is sorely needed. I can't tell you how many times I end up leafing through the book mid-session and attempting to find a specific rule hidden in all the text that I just know is there. Keep up the good work. Oh...

    Traveller - DM's for Characteristics

The way I would be inclined to deal with this would be to use the large animal's Dex DM to determine the to hit roll as this would seem most appropriate in attempting to strike a smaller, more agile opponent (making it relatively hard for a likely less dextrous large elephantine creature to hit)...

    Broo Impregnation

Hehehehe that is freaking awesome. I totally know what you mean with the "that guy" player... I've got one in my group too and he falls for it every time, even when all the other players are practically begging him to show some restraint (well half of them are, the others are trying not to...

How do I introduce divine spells into play?

Thanks Deleriad and Phil that clears things up for me nicely. :D

    Runequest game style

RQII should work well for this but I thought I'd chip in at this point and recommend that if you really want a full blown Dying Earth experience try to get your hands on the Dying Earth RPG... it is out of print but there are still some copies around or otherwise PDFs. The Dying Earth feel...

Traveller supplement covering quasi-magic in very low TL

Ahh thanks for that Andrew. This is very much in line with what I was looking for and a good starting point... Still a full supplement on this would be very cool :D

How do I introduce divine spells into play?

First off thanks for all of the responses especially the suggestions of which specific spells to use. Ok so I am aware it is based on "'returning to shrine to pray for spells etc" but I oversimplified it to "per day"... my bad. But I am still unclear on two things: 1) Do initiates get access...

Traveller supplement covering quasi-magic in very low TL

Tneva82: Thanks for the info. Any idea which S&P it is in? I had a look at the index over on the Traveller board but none of the article titles jump out at me as being about this... I suppose I can always look through them all but that would be somewhat time consuming! :D Nathan: Yeah I have...
