Actually for most of the reload times are pretty close, with the exception of the muzzle loaders.
The Springfield Carbine is a great example, at LBH the 7th Cav were armed with Springfield Cabines, they had to be reloaded after every shot from the breach using a "raise door" method, in which...
A couple of points in this:
1) Perhaps the scholar needs a lil "lesson" in not being quite so open about his "aberrant" ways. It will get hard to justify if there are any witnesses, and it will get hard to keep having the same two witnesses around ya all the time. The truly evil and power...
Shonuff, methinks it speeds it up. I mean, roll bad enough against someone in Brigandine and mail huberk with a steel cap even it at half, that is still a DR of 5. Have to get lucky with some of the simple weapons to still do damage. I like that idea, alot. One less thing to have to try...

Rikki, if you really want an answer from Mongoose, try either the e-mail orption or the PM option to M Bear, M Bob, msprange, etc.
Henry the V soundtrack is another fine choice.
Carmina Burana, excellent for chanting sorcery circles.
Pirates of the Caribean soundtrack for shipboard, swashbuckler events.
The Planets is good for all around mood setting.
Lawrence of Arabia soundtrack for more desert scenes.
