[Many Publishers] Please Help Haiti Relief

This is definitely the biggest bargain I've seen in gaming in... actually, probably ever. It's insanely generous.

A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Termination Booth

Primarily Troubleshooters, although easily adaptable to IntSec.

    New Paranoia Screen Compatibility?

The major change from that-which-was-known-as-XP to Troubleshooters is the use of old-style Treason Points instead of treason codes; the screen will reflect this. The rest of the rules - skills, specialties, perversity, weapon damage, random screwjob tables etc are the same.

Sneak at Deus Vult for RQII

It needs the RQ2 corebook - it's not standalone. Lord High Munchkin - Deus Vult is as accurate as a game with monster-hunting assassin-priests blowing up demonic cults with alchemical weapons should be, in that we assume that the Order more-or-less cancels out the effects of the supernatural...

    How does High Programmers play?

Allen's covered all the major elements of High Programmer, I think. It would be easy enough to switch to a diceless system (it's already borrowing plenty from Amber and Nobilis) - just have the High Programmers spend Access instead of rolling dice when there's a contest. You'd need to tweak a...

    Fire Elementals?

Check out Tim Powers' Declare. The djinni in that are whirling vortices of energy whose thoughts are effectively arrangements of physical objects.

    aslan aging

Yeah - they basically stride along, being mighty cat lords of the galaxy and confusing stupid monkey rpg writers with their timekeeping, and then suddenly they fall off the arthritis cliff and are eaten by their own kids.

    aslan aging

*checks* There is a screw-up in my maths. Firstly, ignore the note on page 8 - it's a leftover from the Classic Traveller rules. Aslan aging and terms should be computed in Imperial years for sanity's sake. Four year terms, characters start at age 14 imperial. Secondly, aging should begin at...

    Scoundrel Piracy System... Help Please

The 3d6 x Diameter is the initial range between the pirate vessel and the target, not the pirate vessel and the planet. The time to get to the jump limit or surface depends on the initial location of the pirate - basically, the rules assume that the pirate's lurking around in orbit, and then...

    Hammer's Slammers - In Potter's Field

The briefing cube data is in the article - it's just not in handout form. Cut and paste the section starting with 'Operation MATTERHORN - Whetstone' up to 'Briefing Cube Ends' and give that to the players to ignore. As for the map - I wasn't able to get one ready in time for the S&P deadline...

    Opposing persuade/deception/etc.

One rule I experimented with during an early draft: Use the opponent's statistic as the total Effect needed to get past. So, if you're trying to bluff past a doorman, you need to keep rolling, say, Social Standing + Deception until your total Effect exceeds the doorman's Intelligence. You've got...
