[Many Publishers] Please Help Haiti Relief

As you may or may not know, the disaster in Haiti is unimaginable. The death toll increases by the day, and relief supplies are at a bare minimum. Doctors Without Borders has been there from the start to help these people and could use all the relief supplies they can get. DriveThruRPG/RPGNow has been collecting donations for this organization. With the help of many of you, they have collected (at the time of this writing) over $5000 from gamers to help the people of Haiti in their hour of greatest need. This is commendable, but OneBookShelf (the parent company of DriveThruRPG and RPGNow) and many publishers desire to help even more.

To this end, we publishers are giving away over $1000 of gaming material in a special bundle sold through OneBookShelf sites for a $20 donation, some of which are Traveller Compatible and many others easily usable in a Traveller game. All proceeds will go to Doctors Without Borders to help the people of Haiti.

We publishers would like to thank everyone in advance of their generous donation.

“Traveller” and the Traveller logo are Trademarks owned by Far Future Enterprises, Inc. and are used with permission. The Traveller Main Rulebook is available from Mongoose Publishing.

For those that do not feel that they can give $20, there are also $10 and $5 bundle options. Both are listed in the Top 10 section so should be easy to find.

The DTRPG site is down as I type this, so I cannot provide a direct link. It probably crashed due to all the people downloading the bundles (one game at a time!).

I've noticed the site is down, and suspected the cause was massive simultaneous downloads.

Anyone knows for how long this offer will remain?

According to their press release, the bundle will be available until the end
of January, so no need to hurry yet.

Donated my $20, and went through the long list of free stuff. Even after passing over stuff I was not intersted in, my total bill (before using the free coupon) was around $500! :D

Go donate.

I just got a note from their Customer Service Rep.

We crashed their servers!

The coupons are good for a while and if you buy the bundle the coupon number will let you download them for free.

I got about 30 things downloaded yesterday before it crashed. MUCH goodness.

Lots of D20 stuff, some nice SF stuff too (Serenity RPG) and of course some Traveller stuff (JBE and Reign of Discordia).

Even if all you play is Traveller and SF stuff, it is well worth the money outside of the relief effort.

I want to thank everyone for their generosity. So far, the community has raised over $50,000. This is an amazing amount of donations. Thank you all.

Plus you no longer have to do the coupon thing, you buy this bundle and it goes straight into your account! So now instead of having to go to each individually and enter a code to move it to your account, it is now just go to your account a select which one you wish to DL at this time, much more convenient!

Of course my download list is now FIVE screens long!

I have been downloading stuff for TWO DAYS and I am only about 1/2 way through (I am downloading everything and then filtering).

BTW: Seven Leagues is AWESOME. Simple yet very creative Fairie Tale RPGing.

The SF stuff is limited, but even if that is all you want, you still get several hundreds of dollars worth of stuff.

SO WORTH IT

Although, I did notice the distinct lack of any Mongoose products on this list... Any reason for that?

Give the rest of us a chance!

Yes, some of the quirks have been worked out. For the items I want, all I get is this message
Thank you for donating to Haiti Relief. Unfortunately the overwhelming generosity of the gaming community is hampering our ability to deliver your order to you. Your products are safe in your order history, so if you could wait a day or two before downloading them, it would be much appreciated.
I was able to download one of the smaller items which I'm not too interested in but figure someday I might find a use for.

EDIT: OK, the Serenity RPG is starting to download now. I figure the bundle is worth it just for this.

I got an email today that said PDFs could be downloaded now. It took a while clicking each one, but I downloaded around $500 of what was offered.

I too was gettting the message the last 2 days that traffic was causing downloads to be delayed. It appears the site turned its downloads back on now.

Finally got everything downloaded. The site was a bit sluggish getting started, but once I actually started downloading stuff, it went pretty fast... about 500kb per second.
