    I was just skim-checking the inside cover again and discovered that there actually were no playtester credits. That's very, very worrying, and something I guess I'll have to check for sooner next time. It does greatly confirm my suspicions that it was utterly unplaytested, though... I agree...

    I quite agree; the review definitely wasn't my best work. A bit rushed, and less informative of content than it could have been... but it's hard to speak about the content in broad strokes, because it is, for the most part, entries on random tables. As for OTU, as I said, I'm not an OTU...

    Uhh... the editing on this is pretty terrible, and many of the events don't fit into the OTU at all. I think this is probably most useful for solo play; I think if I dropped half of these things on a group of actual players, they'd be like to string me up. More complete review here.

    I've begun work on a fantasy version of Traveller as well recently, due in part to growing discontent with D&D and in part to the fact that Traveller, as a system, is absolutely wonderful for the GM in terms of simplicity and flexibility. It's a work in progress, with bits and pieces going up...
