Correct: HeroQuesting is about re-enacting myth. But the point (or if you prefer, payoff) of the HeroQuest is to discover some new truth about the Myth. That new truth may be a new spell. So you don't as such invent a new spell but you discover an existing unknown spell.

I'd take a completely different approach. At 100%, IMO, you have mastered a skill: so a swordsman with 100% 1H Sword can pretty much hit all the time (96-00 always fails), a rider with 100% Riding never falls off etc... The same can be said of skills at 200% or 500%. So, to me, it doesn't seem...

I have been amazed by the vehemence of the attacks being made on Mongoose. Sure, they've made mistakes - and some of them are big ones. But was RQ2 perfect, or RQ3 or HeroWars/Quest? Jeez, give them the benefit of the doubt for a while. They are new to RQ/Glorantha give them a chance to grow in...

This is just the name foolish humans use. Aldryami is the correct term. This sort of thing happens all the time in the real world. Slow worms are not worms but snakes, the red panda is only distantly related to the giant panda. For me this just adds colour and realism to Glorantha.
