So... We're getting the Traveller core rules in a book that's almost as big as the original black books. Are there any plans to re-issue all of the other supplements - Merc, High Guard, etc. in the pocket form?

It's interesting that PDFs sell so poorly compared to their dead-tree counterparts. For me (as an IT professional with an unhealthy RPG collection) pdfs outnumber actual books by about 20 to 1. But... when I actually want to play a game I'll either purchase a real book if it's available or...

Seconded! I've gone through 3 copies of that game since I first bought one. Read and played them to death. Thankfully I've now got PDFs safe and sound. But I'd definitely buy a new one.

And, as such, will probably never see another supplement - printed or otherwise. Which is a damn shame as I grew up with 2 of the TTA hardbacks on my shelves. Damn things were excellent as gaming resources. Still love that Chris Foss artwork!

Or, to put it another way, when do we get the PDFs? It's either a PDF or I have to move house to somewhere with more bookshelves. Or I start eBaying old stuff. Stuff with sentimental value. So c'mon, save the memorabilia and release a PDF of this bad boy!

Yep - tried that, but it leaves the backgrounds there, and they're still quite a drain. However, after some experimentation... pdftohtml -c -i strips out all the images - background and in-line - but preserves the formatting of the text. Now if only I could get it to preserve the in-line art.
