    The Worker Class

I'm in the process of doing a true20 port for my own private use, and find that yes, nearly all of the classes' features are simply feats. Worker fits nicely with Agent, Diplomat, Scientist, Trader, and Lurker in the Expert role*, and can be customized to function very easily in that system...

    B5 adventures/campaigns

Player in Demo's campaign here, which is still going strong. It's gone well-- we're in 2262, and many of the principles are gone, forcing us to take charge, as it were. Many similar events have happened, but to different folks, for vaguely similar reasons. The ISA's Adira-class flagship...

    Farewell to Babylon 5

An odd thing about farewells... one doesn't have to say them if one doesn't want to. Our (Democratus') campaign is still going strong, as we plough into what would have been late fifth season. Many things have changed: Sheridan never returned from Za'Ha'Dum, the Shadow War ended at Ragesh...

Adventures in the Hyborian Age - Jan. '09

Yes. The very end of People of the Black Circle comes to mind here. "Look out!"

[Online Game: FGII] Babylon 5: War of the Queens

We had fun with it in Ragged Edge; hope the players enjoy it! I won't spoil it with our solution...

Dealing with large crowds in game...

Except that that outdistancing can be eaten up by a single roll on the Hunter's part, and apparently only the Hunter gets to roll. But the prey can't move out of range with a tactic if all the tactic does is add a modifier to the Chase roll. One-sided mechanics break immersiveness for me...

Dealing with large crowds in game...

You're kidding, right? The Prey is incapable of running faster than the Hunter, but the Hunter can catch the Prey with a simple die roll? Then how does this: ever happen? All that tactics do is give a modifier to the next chase roll, and the Prey, you say, cannot move further away based on...

Dealing with large crowds in game...

Excellent-- in addition to Closing the Gap, I assume there is a similar mechanic for Widening the Gap? That is, if the Hunter fails, the Prey moves his move speed away from the Hunter?

    Loren's ship

Hence, "I'll see you in a million years"? Wasn't that Jason's sign off?

    Are Tournaments Appropriate?

There are a few ways to go at this. As a sometime DM for a Trojan War campaign, the easiest institution to adapt is the Funeral Games. Most of these would not include swordplay, though a duel to the death could well serve as the climax to the games (and legend, true or not, has it that this is...

    GM Guide (help please)

Patrons can absolutely be cool! They can be of any sort, too, depending on what sort of campaign you or your players want. Consider Nero Wolfe, for example: an agoraphobic detective who needs operatives to run down leads for him-- the missions don't have to make sense, at first-- they make sense...

    GM Guide (help please)

A wonderful starting adventure is The Cold Equations. It uses several principles that will stand you in good stead as a GM. 1. Start with a bang. Nothing sucks the life out of a session like starting it with shopping or levelling up that should have been done the previous week or in email. Get...

    Best Case Scenario - Conan & D&D 4e

It is at mine (Dragon's Lair in Austin). It's on the main d20 wall, and is consistently talked up and promoted by staff, too. My 2sp: Under NO circumstances should Conan be thrown to the 4e Wolves.
