I think it would take a little more than that - Mongoose mini production failed before so chances are it would again. With that in mind a lot of people would not invest in them again. The majority of my gaming group woudnt anway.
Still gutted about all of this hence the negativity.
That long huh, I take it you mean delicate due to the material used by the 'printer'. Still think its amazing though, and its early doors so just think what this tech will be able to do in 5 or 10 years.
Pessimism is not a usual mood of mine but in this case yes your right. but after reading the 'state of the mongoose' article in S&P again (from the start of the year) Im even more gutted, how can things change so horibly in such a short space of time.
As for 'they still want to do minis' I...
I like the above one, personally Id maybe drop the rail gun range to 15" for a few extra pulse AD. I have four of the ships and have found the following stats to be acceptable for play:
PL: Raid
Speed: 7
Turns: 1/45
Hull: 5
Damage Points: 40/9
Crew: 44/10
Craft: 1 Thunderbolt Flight...
I think that is there normal price as they are not included in the end of line sale as they will remain on the catalogue after the end of March.
I think......
check out the "new Hyperion and plastic bases' thread.
According to Matt the new Hyperions will be permanent additions to the MGP catalogue. Ie they are not being removed after 31 March.
Wait, now Im even more confused. I thought the foundry and all models were going going soon to be gone?
Does this mean there is some hope of more minatures in the NEAR future? :D
surley not, they are more faithful to the Hyperion seen on the show and definitely not worse than the old one.
oh well, no impressing some people I suppose
I think they are rather good, a definite step up.
