i'd think about running one if i thought we could get about eight or so players.

i know there are a few scattered about but will folk travel to play in Glasgow?

well its a toe in the water just now, but i'm sure we could get somewhere to play.

i'd maybe need a hand with a couple of tables and scenery ect.

i'd really like to do a prize for winner, runner up and best army but that would maybe depend on the venue cost.

Yea, i'd be willing to help and stuff. Need loads of black cloth, terrian.

I was thinking theres a church hall in maryland thats a club i know is called G3 you proberly know about it. That would seem a good place unless you can find some where better mayby in the town centre or such?.

But i believe its do able.

i know G3 well, i've not been up there for a while but if everone was local and could make it on a tuesday night i'm sure they would be up for it.

static games in glasgow also have a few table and would maybe be an option for a Saturday or Sunday.

Id be up for that, the guys I play against are mostly downsouth etc these days so havent played much recently. Raring for a game!

I'd certainly be interested as long as I'm not on nightshift or backshift that week. With enough notice I could schedule a day off.

If needed, I could bring along enough terrain for a pair of tables (inc Starmap-style 6x4 sheets).

You could have a haggis for the person who gets the least points in the whole tournament to eat. Now there's incentive to win.

Seriously though, I hope it goes well.

I was thinking of attempting to run a tourney at Conpulsion this year, but that kind of got scuppered by conflicting dates.

I'd certainly be up for a tourney.

As to venue, if your willing to consider Edinburgh, the Edinburgh League of Gamers [elg] have a good facility to host and they have run regular warhammer events at their site (pm me if you want contact details). Though Glasgow is easy enough to get to.

something like Compulsion would be good for it acctually, got through to that a couple of years ago, good day out that.

anyone know any upcoming convesions that will have us?

Conpulsion is usually a good laugh. This its the easter weekend though.

If you are looking at approaching them, Oscar is the name of the chap sorting out the wargames mob.

Aside from that I don't know of other conventions, though there are more regional clubs scattered around Scotland. You could also try approaching any of the university based gaming societies as well.

popped mt head into Static games in Glasgow today, they can do a small tourney of about eight people. i'll have to confirm with the lad who owns the store to see what days i can get but it could be a goer.
