Yeah, I'm out too. I don't see the point in buying the right to 'buy" the right to view the book, and not the actual book itself. Mongoose can't do print-on-demand?
Also, there's no real guideline for what makes a balanced encounter in the Armageddon 2089 book, or how such a scenario would be...
If he spent half as much time writing the State of the Mongoose as he did responding to every little thing online and mucking up Star trek, it'd be done already.

You can still get the rulebooks for cheap on ebay. The starter box still sells for half-price in stores and full price on ebay. The hardcover rulebook didn't clarify or issue errata on anything, so there' no point in buying it. A LOT of people said the rulebook army lists were the best, it...
The books are still fairly cheap on amazon... I have an Armageddon 2089 thread running for months now, with no responses. NO ONE plays this game.

So what are the best Skills and Feats for a newly-minted mercenary company to select? Assume there's a Comms Officer, Assault Officer, Field Officer, Scout Officer, and a Civilian

Meteor-based Plot Hooks (d20 Modern / d20 Future)
Read mine then add your own!
Recently a meteor slammed into Russia injuring at least 1,000 people; 200 children were hurt and 3,000 buildings were damaged, mostly the result of windows being blown out by the sonic boom. Another meteor, DA14...
Armageddon: 2089 - does anybody actually *play* this game? Is it playable, as written?
I went into Armageddon 2089 with great faith. I bought the game so I could build mechs for my Chaos Space Marine characters in a fan-made d20 supplement for Warhammer 40,000. I bought the book so I could...
Oh, also:
The ancient module Keep on the Borderlands has a keep on a hill that's essentially its own city-state. The players live there when they are not dungeon basing the Caves of Chaos. The module is considered a classic, if you ignore certain elements of nitpicky realism.
Saltmarsh is in...
Some comments from a former Starship Troopers fan.
Interesting to see that most RPG fans have gone the online route. I have online pdfs and other than the joy of having such a stupendous quantity of material at my figertips, I rarely read them. I always go for the printed book route.
I just...
Just ordered a copy of Armageddon 2089: Total War from Mongoose Publishing and The Psychic's Handbook from another company, both for d20 Modern/d20 Future.
Truth be told, I ordered the book used since an online store had it for only seven bucks. Mongoose Publishing bills this game as "the most...
The Firefries are still made by some British company, as a third party thing.
I'd love to see MP re-acquire the rights to SST, release some proper plastic LAMI and air support figures.
