    Teleport Sorcery spell

=O I like that idea! Getting teleported back to your starting location when the duration ends could be a very cool in a low magic setting. Even a powerful sorcerer would need to use mundane methods of travel if they wish to spend more than a few hours in a new location at a time.

    Combat Issues

Using two weapons most certainly does grant an extra CA. Core rules page 83: Now. Whether a DM will allow unarmed attacks to count as a second weapon for this purpose is up for debate as far as I can tell.

    Combat Issues

I say yes. As long as one is not already being granted an extra CA from a shield or offhand weapon. But. It's a DM preference call i think.

    Combat Issues

This is from page 85 of the core rulebook, where it describes weapon sizes: That passage indicates human unarmed combat is size small. I think that makes the most sense. It's possible to block full damage from a dagger, but it's much harder to block full damage from a sword (Harder but still...

    Attacking after Evading

I created a similar sort of house rule. Mine is this: If you evade, you cannot attack on your next CA- with one exception: Small throwing weapons can still be thrown as normal. One of my players wants to play an assassin who dual wields and throws daggers. I like my house rule because I feel...

    Combat Issues

Ahh. Thank you for the clarification Loz, that makes sense. Sorry I didn't see your reply the first time. We posted simultaneously, so I didn't see your reply when I responded to Da Boss.

    Combat Issues

 That's punny. Is it really so bad to be able to evade when you're out of CA's? It's way less effective than parrying, because it's an opposed test, rather than a simple success/fail, and you'd still be unable to attack on your first turn next round. It also makes certain spells more...

    Combat Issues

After seeing this thread I re-read some of the rules in the book and noticed something. I can't find anywhere that indicates that evading an attack requires a CA. The first time I read it, I assumed it did. Can someone clarify this? Does evading require 1 CA, in addition to not being able to...

    Sorcery, Manipulation and Magic Points

I'm not sure if you were trying to help, but you didn't. I had no trouble finding that same sentence on my own before posting. However, I find it to be somewhat ambiguous. Basically, I do not know what is meant by "number of Manipulations". Is extending Duration +3 and Range +2 five...

    Sorcery, Manipulation and Magic Points

While we're on the subject... does casting time work the same way as MP cost, or not? If you cast a spell and the only manipulation is Duration +5, the MP would be 2. In this scenario, would the casting time be: 1 CA, for using one manipulation? -or- 5 CA, for using 5 points of manipulation...

    Animate

I am curious to know if anyone has come up with rules concerning use of the Animate + Form/Set spells, specifically in combat. The book makes it clear that the animated object uses your skill modifiers, but what about hit points? How much damage can it do with it's attacks? For that matter, how...
